For several different reasons, I recently told the company that runs DigitalLanding.com that I’d have to move from South Florida back to Central Florida to be closer to family. Thankfully, they were kind enough to allow me to do this, while still running Digital Landing remotely as the content manager. I decided to document most of the issues I faced during this move with this blog, The Moving Diary.
My goal is to help you understand the problems you might face, and help you cut them off at the pass before they become your problems.
The Moving Diary and You
Did you know that the average American will move over 11 times in their lifetime!?!
Moving is never, ever fun, and they say that it’s one of the most stressful events in a person’s life. From all the decisions you have to make, to the physical aspect of boxing up and moving everything, to the emotional aspect of leaving behind an era in your life and the uncertainty of your future residence – moving certainly takes its toll.
Hopefully, I can help you get through some of these issues a little better off than you were going in. Feel free to drop some comments in to ask me any questions you might have.
Upcoming Moving Diary Posts
I plan on writing several different blog posts, some will be move-specific, some will be about the industry, and some will just be some helpful tips. Below are some specific posts that I plan on writing about in The Moving Diary in the coming days and weeks.
- How to Approach Your Job About Working From Home
- The Pros and Cons of PODS or Renting a Moving Truck
- When to Rent a Self-Storage Unit
Let me know if there are some specific issues you’d like addressed about my move and what I’m going through in The Moving Diary, and I’d be happy to oblige.
