Bundling TV, Phone, Internet Services is a Smart Move For Anyone

In the age of booming technology, saving money on Phone, Internet, and TV service has never been so important. The cost for these individual services is on the rise, but when you bundle them together on one bill, the savings make a positive impact on your pocket book and peace of mind.

For example, you can save hundreds of dollars each year through bundling. A typical package that includes premium TV service, from one of the major cable companies goes for about $100 a month. As an incentive to purchase multiple services, through companies like Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Cox, and Charter offer special deals on bundles.

In the competitive Cable TV industry, these providers are more than willing to offer special deals to valued customers. For example, a full-year, $99-a-month package usually consists of premium TV service, High Speed Internet service, and Home Phone service with several calling features. If you pay for these services individually, you could wind up spending over $150 a month — that’s big savings!

Just keep in mind that cable companies usually offer bundled services on a limited basis. In other words, a company like Comcast may offer a bundled package at a lower rate for a period of six months, but when the introductory period is over, the price goes up.

As a smart consumer, it’s always in your best interest to read the fine print before signing up for a bundled package.

What are some of the benefits of bundling?

First of all, it’s easier to deal with one company. When you connect all three services with one company, you only need to contact the one you signed up with. For example, if you experience technical problems with any of these services, the answer is only one phone call away. You also have the convenience of receiving just one monthly bill, saving you money in the long run.

As I mentioned earlier, bundled deals can save you hundreds of dollars each year over the amount you pay for these services separately. Although cable companies usually offer bundled services on an introductory basis, people who choose to bundle their services can still negotiate good deals once their “introductory” period expires.

In an effort to stay competitive, cable companies offer a wide range of features like unlimited calling, fast download speeds, digital cable, premium programming, and more.

Last but not least, the number of companies offering bundled services continues to grow. Each year, companies like Comcast, Verizon, and Qwest offer these services in urban and rural areas alike.

If you’re interested in ordering a bundled package, take extra time to research all available companies and services in your area. Enter your street address in the form on the top-right corner of this page to what deals are being offered by the digital service providers in your area.

Comcast XFINITY

If you’re a new customer of Comcast, you can get a Triple Play package (including High Speed Internet, Home Phone, and Cable TV) that starts around $100 per month.

The Comcast package includes unlimited nationwide calling, over 80 cable channels, and a service called On Demand, which allows you to search for specific programs, save, pause and rewind. For a little more money, you can add high definition (HD) television and movie channels. You can also increase your Internet speed.

If you are thinking about signing up with Comcast’s service, keep in mind that the price goes up a bit after the first year.

Verizon FiOS

Verizon’s Triple Play package starts under one hundred dollars per month, also. However, the price increases after the first year. The service includes HDTV, High Speed Internet (up to 15 Mbps), unlimited local and regional calling, and free installation.

You can also create your own bundle and adjust the different specs to meet your needs. Verizon doesn’t require a contract, and you can use the service month to month if you like.

Qwest Bundles

Qwest offers a Triple Savings bundle for a similar price for the first year, but it requires a two-year contract.

That subscription includes High Speed Internet (up to 1.5 Mbps), over 200 DirecTV channels, and unlimited Home Phone calling.

Telephone companies like Verizon continue to expand fiber-optic networks which allow them to compete more easily with Cable TV providers to offer a full array of telecom services, including TV and Internet. No matter which company you choose to bundle your services, you can plan on saving around $50 a month. Bundling your services will save you time, money, and aggravation.

Phone, Cable and Internet companies offer special low-cost pricing on bundles as an incentive for you to purchase two or more services. When you connect your Internet, Phone and TV service with one company, you keep a relationship with one company, and receive only one bill each month.
