If you love Netflix original TV shows like “House of Cards,” “Orange is the New Black,” and “Lilyhammer,” you will be thrilled to learn that Netflix has plans to create a full slate of several new original series as well as new original full length feature films. Here is a brief overview of the new Netflix programs that streamers can expect in 2015 and beyond.
New Netflix Original TV Shows for 2015
“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”
This first 13 episodes of this new comedy will be available for streaming starting on March 6th. It’s the brain child of “30 Rock” stars Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. The show follows the exploits of Kimmy, portrayed by actress Ellie Kemper of “The Office” fame, as she makes her way to New York City after she escapes the clutches of a Domesday Cult, where she has lived underground, literally and figuratively for the past 15 years. Can a young and sheltered woman survive the Big Apple armed with only her backpack and a few library books that are way overdue?
A second season of the series has already been signed, and Kemper fans don’t have to wait until March to see their favorite actress, as 9 seasons of The Office are streaming now on Netflix.
While the film version of the popular Marvel comics series received mixed reviews, fans of the superhero can hardly wait for the show to begin streaming on Netflix on April 10th. Charlie Cox and Rosario Dawson star in the show that follows the escapades of our blind lawyer Matt Murdock by day and crime fighting hero Daredevil at night. While they are waiting, Charlie Cox fans can appease their appetite for the star by watching him in the 2007 film, Stardust, which is streaming now on Netflix.
If dark secrets and an eerie, dysfunctional family dynamic are more your cup of tea, then Bloodline is for you. This drama follows the trials and travails of four adult siblings that must face their shared scarred past when the black sheep of the family returns home. The first season has 13 episodes available for streaming beginning March 20th. It stars several high profile actors and actresses including Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Sam Shepard, and Sissy Spacek.
“Gracie and Frankie”
This 30-minute comedy stars acting veterans Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda as two frenemies who lives are turned upside down when their husbands announce that they are leaving them – for one another. The 13 episodes of the first season will be available for streaming on May 8th.

It stars actors Donnie Yen, Michelle Yeoh, Harry Shum, Jr., Jason Scott Lee, Roger Yuan, Eugenia Yuan, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo, picking up the plot line of the action flick where the first left off.
